It’s All About Priorities by Diva Richards

Everything seems like it’s getting in the way—life; family; business meetings; oh, and the now infamous Zoom calls. We know a strong mind equals a strong body, and how we fuel our bodies affects our performance in every aspect of our lives. Sound nutrition and a consistent lifestyle are the keys.

We are all here because we want to change. We either wake up to win or to learn. The process of becoming better starts with you and only you.

We all have excuses for why we eat poorly, but time and money usually top the list. But I believe the real issue with eating healthy is priority. For some reason, many of us don’t take our health seriously until it hits us in the head, and it becomes a matter of  life or death. But that doesn’t have to be your fate. That’s why it is important for us to think and plan. And trust me, I know that ordering delivery seems much simpler than cooking, but in the thirty to sixty minutes you spend waiting for your food, you could have prepared a healthy meal for you and your family. And there are simple things you can do to make it even easier, like cooking the meat a day ahead so it only requires reheating.

Commit to eating healthy and then you can enjoy a cheat meal on the weekends. We are not talking about diet simply in terms of weight loss. We are talking more about a lifestyle change, a change that can start by replacing eating out and making poor choices with a custom or signature meal through ICON Meals. Make conscious decisions to grab fruit instead of sugary snacks and to increase your water intake rather than guzzle juice and soda.

Not only would small changes such as these save you money, they would help you take steps  to better health.

So if you’re still on the fence and have fallen off the healthy food wagon, I say this: you can improve your health and have the body you desire by doing the work. Otherwise, nothing changes. You must commit and D.O. the W.O.R.K.

Why not you? Why not now? Don’t wait. Start today.
