5 Tips For Testosterone Health by Clark Bartram

I've been in the fitness industry for a long time. Men ask me the same questions every single day: “How can I lose weight and feel better? How can I get jacked? How can I boost my T (testosterone) levels?"

Men have low T for all sorts of reasons. Aging, poor diet and exercise, and external factors like endocrine disruptors and prescription meds. The information below could absolutely revolutionize your life.  I see it every single day.

I coach men from all around the world, most over the age of 50, interested in boosting their testosterone levels to get the same feel of manliness they had when they were 25. I tell them their bodies are perfectly capable of producing more T naturally, and they probably don’t need synthetic supplements like testosterone shots, pellets, or creams.

I’m not against shots, but I do think they’re an extreme measure most men don’t need to jump to immediately. They’re a slippery slope that can lead to unwanted physical changes and even more meds. There are better, natural methods to try out first! Here are five steps any man can take to get their body to make more testosterone naturally.

1) Mindset

Your mindset means EVERYTHING. Your mental health needs to be in a good place for you to start eating the right food, exercising, and doing all other necessary things to lose weight and feel better.

Don’t fill your day with the negative 24-hour news cycle. Remove toxic, gossipy people from your life. Read books, learn new things, and focus on lifting yourself up in both mind and body.

2) Meals

You must eat right to change your weight or gain muscle. The first thing you must do, TODAY, is write down everything you’re eating. Become fully aware of what you're putting in your body. Those cans of soda and bags of chips you’re eating are all processed crap your body doesn't need, and when you are forced to look at what you're eating you can start eliminating the worst dietary habits.

3) Movement

I don’t care if you’re 15 or 50, you have got to exercise! And as you get older it’s more important to incorporate compound movements into your exercise routine. Functional movements that actually apply to your regular life, for when you want to play with your kids, do work on the house, or handle slips and falls better.

Once I was on a ladder in my garage and my son opened the garage door. It knocked me off the ladder and I landed on my exercise bike. I popped right back up and dusted myself off with little problem, but If I hadn’t been training with functional movement that could have been a serious moment. I’m 58 years old but my body is that of a man 25 years younger.

“Where do I start?” There’s so much content on YouTube showing you how to do this. My program 3-Moves-3 Minutes gets you started with just 3 minutes a day. And let’s be honest: if you can’t set aside 3 minutes a day to better yourself you haven’t completed step 1 yet: getting your mind in the right place.

4) Community

You need to surround yourself with like-minded people who are gonna lift you up, not hold you down. People that are gonna encourage you to go for it, because the path to better yourself can be hard! Be very careful not to fall into the trap of hanging out with miserable people. You know what they say: misery loves company.

You have a circle of influence, regardless of how many followers you have on social media. They look to you to be strong, energetic and confident. You have friends that want you to succeed, so you can prove it's possible to change, to lose weight and boost your testosterone levels naturally.

5) Supplementation

This tip is last for good reason: people jump right to supplements before any of the other principles are in place and it simply does not work out. People think a testosterone shot, cream or pellet is magically going to change their life. The secret, though, is that you need the other principles in place first before a supplement will have lasting effect.

You might feel something initially but eventually your body figures out what you’re doing. And you're back to ground zero unless you're incorporating the other principles. Any product is only as good as the lifestyle that supports it.
