COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Triathlon today announced a partnership with ICON Meals, a leading producer of fresh and healthy ready-made deliverable meals, as the organization’s Official Meal Provider through 2024.
ICON Meals is a nationwide healthy meal delivery company that offers simple, convenient, fresh and affordable meals delivered to people’s doorsteps. The signature menu features robust, nutrient-dense meals that are rotated weekly, including options for custom-made meals. Specially trained chefs create meals and snacks that allow people the freedom to enjoy food, without sacrificing health, food safety, quality, or individuality.
As USA Triathlon’s Official Meal Provider, ICON Meals will support USA Triathlon High Performance athlete nutrition, and together, ICON Meals and USA Triathlon will collaborate on nutritional education content such as pre-race nutrition plans, that will be distributed across USA Triathlon-owned social media channels and digital platforms.
“ICON Meals is extremely proud to partner with USA Triathlon,” said Todd Abrams, CEO of ICON Meals. “We are honored to contribute to encouraging both longtime and newbie triathletes to set their nutrition plans in order to realize their goals.”
“We are so excited for our partnership with ICON Meals and collaborating with them on nutrition educational content,” said Victoria Brumfield, USA Triathlon Chief Business Development Officer and Chief of Staff. “Nutrition is often referred to as the ‘fourth discipline’ of triathlon — from race-day nutrition to healthy eating habits throughout an athlete’s training cycle, nutrition plays such a big role in athlete performance. ICON Meals not only provides athletes with fresh, healthy, convenient meal options, but they are also experts in nutrition who can help guide athletes looking to personalize a nutrition plan that works for them.”
ICON Meals will also offer food tasting opportunities at USA Triathlon National Championship events, including the USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival April 28-May 1 in Irving, Texas.
ICON Meals was the presenting sponsor of USA Triathlon’s fifth annual #DreamingSeason, a digital and social media-driven campaign from Jan. 6-19 that encouraged both longtime and newbie triathletes alike to set their goals, dream big and race local ahead of the 2022 multisport racing season.
