Overview

The Production Assembly Manager oversees and ensures the daily assembly lines hit the required targets within budgetary guidelines while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area throughout the assembly area.


Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Setting productivity goals for each team
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Assist in new product development and menu costing
  • Managing employees including hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving employee-related matters
  • Maintain sanitation standards throughout the work area following USDA, FDA, and HACCP regulations
  • Maintain an efficient operation and troubleshoot and report any malfunctions of equipment
  • Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff 


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Production Manager, Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef
  • Proven leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
  • Professional culinary training or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Proficiency with automated reporting systems for all facets of production management
  • Proven experience in supervising, training, and cross-training of kitchen staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts
  • Good attitude and work ethic
  • USDA facility experience preferred


Work Environment:

While performing the Production Assembly Manager duties, the employee will work in a refrigerated environment.
