Dry ice keeps meals cold during transit by sublimating into carbon dioxide gas. Do not touch it with bare hands and keep it in a ventilated area.
If dry ice remains on delivery, leave it in the shipping box or place it in a safe, open area until it disappears. Never seal it in a closed container.
Once the dry ice is gone, recycle the box and liners. Meals should still be cold to the touch and safe to refrigerate or freeze immediately.
