Shipping Guide: What do I do with the dry ice?

Published January 08, 2026

Dry ice keeps meals cold during transit by sublimating into carbon dioxide gas. Do not touch it with bare hands and keep it in a ventilated area.

If dry ice remains on delivery, leave it in the shipping box or place it in a safe, open area until it disappears. Never seal it in a closed container.

Once the dry ice is gone, recycle the box and liners. Meals should still be cold to the touch and safe to refrigerate or freeze immediately.
